Throw another name into the running for the next ‘Bachelor’ because Daniel Maguire thinks he’s got exactly what it takes to hand out the roses. Not only that, the ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ star is dissing on how contender Luke Pell would be the most boring ‘Bachelor’ pick ever!
The Canadian model sure isn’t short on confidence as to why he should be ABC’s next Bachelor. “I’m the most realistic, regular guy out there,” Daniel Maguire, 31, told reporters during a media call Aug. 18. “Most of the Bachelors – to be honest…they’re so fake, I’ve never met one of these types of guys in my entire life. Most guys, they talk like how I would…That’s why so many regular guys watch the show and love me.” Umm, we really hope that real guys don’t go around referring to less than gorgeous women as “street dogs” like Daniel did.
Even though Daniel didn’t make it very far on JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette, he thinks he knows exactly what it takes to make for great TV. “If you’re going to watch The Bachelor, you want a real dude,” he continued. “I mean, something that’s more realistic than ‘Oh, I love you so much’ right off the bat, and ‘Oh, she’s so beautiful’ – like come on, let’s get real. People want real, people want entertaining, people want me. So I think I’d made a great Bachelor and I think I’m a great catch as well!” Wow, this guy’s self-esteem is completely off the charts. But it sounds like he really wants to put on a good show for the audience and that’s something producers would probably love.

He also took a swipe at Bachelor contender Luke Pell, 31, who made it into JoJo’s final four. “Luke – yeah, he’s a great guy and everything, but you might as well put it on mute because that’s how boring he is,” he said. “I’d rather have Chad be The Bachelor because at least it’ll be entertaining and real. He’s not going to fall in love with every single girl right off the bat…at least he can have fun with it.”
Well, he is right about Chad Johnson, 28, making for good TV, except we doubt the ladies would be into his constant need for fights and chaos, as well as his love of giving out vicious insults. After getting kicked off of Bachelor in Paradise after just one episode for how he treated the female contestants, he pretty much killed what little chances he had at becoming the next Bachelor.
