Dwayne Johnson: 'Real Men' Will Cry During 'San Andreas'
Dwayne Johnson has a disaster movie with heart on his hands with "San Andreas."
Access Hollywood's Stephanie Bauer caught up with the actor at the premiere of his
new movie on Tuesday, where he shed light on the possibility of shedding some tears
in his earth-rocking movie."It was one of those things where we wanted to make sure
that we went to places that I had not been to before.
But also, it was the balance of a big spectacle which you get with
'San Andreas,' but root it and ground it with real emotion,” he explained.
And the actor, who is not exactly known for turning on the waterworks on the big screen,
lets it flow (or at least trickle) in the movie's climatic ending.
"It's a man who saves lives for living, but yet he can't save his daughter's life,
" the actor explained. "So, between the spectacle, the balance of that and family core…
I may or may not have shed a little tear."
Adding, "Real men cry! Real men cry!"
"San Andreas" rumbles into theaters on May 29.
