She’s been convincing him to go it alone for months, so finally, he’s bitten.” How amazing is that? The 22-year-old singer made the announcement that he was striking out on his own on July 21, by tweeting an image from Capitol Records with his name on it. “They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps,” Liam tweeted. Clearly, he’s very excited about the news, unlike a lot of 1D fans who are holding out hope the band will stay together.
