Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston: Why She Thought It Was Better Not To Attend Comic-Con

After jet-setting all over the globe together, then returning to LA hand-in-hand, Taylor Swift seemed like a lock to attend Comic-Con with her beau Tom Hiddleston. But, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned why she chose to steer clear of the event!

Taylor Swift, 26, and Tom Hiddleston, 35, have been attached at the hip lately, especially since she’s been laying low following the Kimye drama. When the two returned to LA from Australia where Tom was filming the sequel to Thor, all eyes were on the couple when he headed to Comic-Con July 23 to promote Kong: Skull Island.

Of course everyone thought Tay would’ve attended the event to support Tom, as he’s been there by her side throughout her multiple Hollywood feuds. But, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that “Taylor thought the best way she could support Tom was by not attending ComicCon with him. She knew that it would cause a frenzy if she was there and really wanted the spotlight to be on Tom and his film.” In fact, “she had no issues whatsoever about not going. She‘s a pro and knows the difference between work and play.”

Although Tay wasn’t there to support her man, we’re pretty positive he held his own. Tom has been pretty busy with his booming career as the intense trailer for Kong: Skull Island just premiered. Not to mention, he’s dating Taylor, and that’s exciting enough!

The two lovebirds have already met each other’s parents, and they even coordinate their outfits at times. So we’re definitely not worried about this fizzling out any time soon! On top of their crazy schedules, we don’t know how they keep their relationship so fresh? But the key to their budding romance may be, authenticity? It looks that way, because Tom adorably gushed about his relationship to Tay in an interview at Comic-Con, admitting their relationship is totally “authentic”. Talk about goals!
