The 2016 Teen Choice Awards were the place to be on July 31, and the young stars showed up in droves to either hand out or receive a surfboard trophy. We’ve got all your best show moments and highlights in photos right here!
There were so many amazing performances, with the likes of Ne-Yo, 36, Flo Rida, 36, Charlie Puth, 24 and Jason Derulo, 28, thrilling the audience with songs that brought the audience to their feet and got the crowd really moving. Flo totally got the show off to the most amazing start EVER with a medley of three of his biggest hits, including “My House, “Good Feeling” and “Right Round,” before debuting his brand new song “Zillionaire,” which absolutely brought down the house. Charlie killed it with his hit “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” as the teen girls in the audience sang along, loving every minute of it.
Chris Evans, 35, won for Choice Movie Actor in a Fantasy or Drama, and Captain America himself showed up to pick up his award and was a little bit in shock. He told the audience that he’d “always wanted” one of the show’s signature surfboard trophies and was so stoked to be holding onto it.
The adorable cast of Pretty Little Liars picked up the surfboard for Choice TV Drama, and Ashley Benson, 26, thanked the audience on behalf of the rest of the ladies, so thrilled that going into their seventh season they’re still at the top of the game with their Freeform show.

The highlight of the evening was when Kobe Bryant, 37, showed up to present Justin Timberlake, 35, with the Decade Award for his amazing solo career. It was a favor returned as JT presented the retired L.A. Laker with the Icon Award back on July 13 at the ESPYs so these two are sure having an awards show summer together! Justin’s speech had the teens in the audience on their feet with excitement to have the pop God in their presence!
But towards the end of the show the most heartbreaking moment came when Jessica Alba, 35, appeared with nine young relatives of victims of gun violence. Ne-Yo sang the classic Marvin Gaye hit “What’s Going On” which comes as such a poignant moment and was meant to uplift. He then was joined by Jessica and the courage teens who called for an end to senseless gun violence.
