It’s here. The first trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’s highly anticipated seventh season just dropped at San Diego Comic-Con, and although it doesn’t answer THE question — it does reveal exactly how intense things are going to get. Click inside to WATCH!
Before the trailer, the cast attended a morning event where Andrew Lincoln was asked if the show could continue without Rick. “Absolutely,” he answered. “My wife was very happy that [Negan] got all the lines,” Andrew said, adding that he’s “had some time off.” He also laughed adding, “Welcome to the Negan show.”

As many The Walking Dead fans will remember, we were left biting our nails at the tail end of the season six finale while Negan chose his victim. Unfortunately when Negan finally made his decision, the scene was filmed from the victim’s POV so we weren’t able to see who it was, and the episode faded to black before his/her identity was revealed. This left fans feeling totally ripped off by the show, but by the looks of that ridiculously intense trailer it’s safe to say that the wait was well worth it.
That being said, the cast and show runners have promised us that season seven will be the craziest one this show has ever seen. “Trust me. I think probably the planet is going to explode,” Norman Reedus told Entertainment Weekly about TWD’s upcoming return. “That’s my feeling. It’s so good.”
It was also reported that each and every cast member in the Negan scene filmed their own separate death, leaving it a total mystery as to who was actually killed. However, there are dozens of fan theories out there that include screen shots, slowed down videos, and even audio clips from the brutal scene. Make sure you check out my theory, which is that Negan actually killed Abraham, who is portrayed by Michael Cudlitz. Soon enough we’ll find out who got it right!
The Walking Dead premieres in October 2016, and we can’t wait for it’s epic return.
