It’s clearly no secret that Justin Bieber, 22, and Sofia Richie, 17, have gotten extremely close lately. Their friendship has taken off pretty quick, with the two recently locking lips in a park in Tokyo August 13. Now HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned why he trusts her so much! “Sofia has all the material things she needs — all the opportunities she needs and doesn‘t take advantage of it. She‘s funny and always down for no drama and a good time — Something that Justin doesn‘t usually see or get with the girls he pals up with because there is always something else they want from being with him. Sofia does not have that something else, nor is she looking to take advantage of Justin,” a source told us. “He appreciates that and makes him like her even more.” AW!
The pair have been jet-setting off to his tour stops, taking strolls on the beach and even snapping a bunch of adorable selfies together, so obviously Justin and Sofia enjoy each other’s company, and for good reason. The source tells us that “she is a sort of cool that is almost not easy to be explained. She definitely has learned some things from her Dad [Lionel Richie, 67] that not only makes her a genuine person, but a person who doesn‘t feel overwhelmed and afraid of celebrity. She is real because she knows what celebrity is and knows how to deal with it, but doesn‘t get caught up in it.” Wow, it sure sounds like Justin has met his match!
We’re glad his good friend can put a smile on his face amid the drama that he’s entangled in with his ex, Selena Gomez, 24. The exes don’t seem to be on the greatest of terms at the moment since a new report claims she is “jealous” of his relationship with Sofia. If that’s true, maybe it could explain the reason she commented on a photo of the two, which consequently aided in an all out Instagram war between she and Justin. The social media spat got pretty ugly, so we’re not sure if they can ever come back from this one.

However, she did seemingly apologize for her comments, kind of. Sel took to her Snap August 16, to a black background where she wrote “What I said was selfish and pointless.” She didn’t clarify if her Snap was about the situation, but the timeliness of the cryptic message pretty much points in that direction. Justin has since deleted his Instagram, which we’re still upset about, and we’re not sure what the status of this feud is. We’ll just have to wait and see if the singers decide to make another bold statement. Time will tell…
