It’s widely expected that they’ll smash Team Argentina in this quarterfinals round, and if they don’t succeed, the consequences are devastating. You see, this is the medals round, the most significant of their journey at Rio 2016 so far. If they falter, they’re out, and no chance at the bronze, silver or gold. While Team Argentina is considered not to be as strong as they were in previous international competitions, they’ve been mighty foes to the United States’ team (obviously).

Leading up to the Olympics, it was thought that Team Spain and Team France would be Team USA’s biggest competition. Now, whoever wins today’s quarterfinals will face off against the winner of the Spain-France match on Friday, August 19. If that winner happens to be Team USA, they must be happy that they’re only dealing with one of their fiercest enemies!
