We always knew NFL player, Aaron Rodgers, was a star on the field, but we just found out he is estranged from his family, on the ‘Bachelorette’. Here’s everything else you need to know about the footballer!
As the star quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers is a force on the field, as he led the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XLV and was named the Super Bowl MVP after the 2010 NFL season. But, there’s more to him than just throwing the pigskin. We’re breaking down everything you should know about the 32-year-old titan on the football field.
1. Aaron is a California native and pro football player for the Green Bay Packers.
The star quarterback was drafted into the NFL early in 2005 after wowing everyone with unbelievable stats as a junior at the University of California, Berkeley, where he received an athletic scholarship. He was the 24th overall pick by the Packers in the first round draft.
2. He is estranged from his brother and former pro footballer, Jordan Rodgers, 27, as well as the rest of his family.
Aaron has two brothers; Jordan and Luke Rodgers, and he is estranged from the entire family, as his personal life is currently being aired on the “Bachelorette,” while his brother Jordan competes for JoJo Fletcher‘s heart on season 12 of the ABC hit show.
The news first came to light when contestants on the show continued to taunt Jordan for acting privileged, like he was better than everyone else because they insinuated had a leg up in the competition. They believe his fame had helped him throughout his life and the show. When Jordan’s integrity came into question, he began to reveal the sad truth that he doesn’t even have a relationship with his brother. The show was in it’s hometown portion of the season, when the family’s personal drama was aired for the world to see. It’s evident there’s a deeper rift that is very emotional for the family, as Luke admits to JoJo he is surprised Jordan opened up about.
Jordan admitted on the show that he and Aaron “don’t really have that much of a relationship.” He admits, “It’s just kind of the way he’s [Aaron] chosen to do life, and I chose to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother [Luke].”
3. Aaron is dating actress Olivia Munn, 36.
There has been word in the past that the family doesn’t like her too much, and she could have been the reason for the initial split of the family.
The two began dating in 2014, and Reality Steve has alluded the strain on the brothers’ relationships has something to do with the actress. “From everything I heard, this all started around the time Aaron started dating Olivia Munn,” he told FOX411. “Things have been tense ever since. I don’t think they’re (the family) are fans of her.” Jordan ensures on the show that he does not want to be defined by his brother’s status or his relationship with the NFL pro, and Aaron supposedly didn’t even know Jordan was joining the show. Olivia revealed to Entertainment Tonight, “Aaron doesn’t really … I don’t think he’s really talked with his brother,” when asked about Jordan’s being on the show. “So, I actually don’t know. It’s complicated — I’ll say that.” So there is definitely some heavy drama going on here.
There is no photo evidence of Jordan and Aaron on Jordan’s Instagram page. The last time these two were seen together was in 2011 during an intense workout, aside from a Vegas appearance in 2014 when the two posed for a photo on the red carpet but the brothers stood at opposite ends of the photo op, the site mentions.

4. Although he’s estranged from his family, Aaron has quite a few celebrity friends.
He doesn’t have an Instagram account, but Olivia does! The actress gives us a glimpse into their life together, and the two seem to be pretty tight with celeb super couple, Anna Faris, 39, and Chris Pratt, 37, — Who knew? Aaron and Chris posed for what looks like an interesting day of fishing and grilling. The two also love selfies!
5. Aaron and Olivia are proud parents… — To an ADORABLE puppy! AND Frankie has an Instagram account.
Olivia posted a photo to her Instagram of Aaron holding a newspaper as the cutest puppy sits on his lap. (SO TINY!) She captioned the sweet photo, “and a million times over, my heart melts… @frankierodgers12#adoptdontshop #rescue” Check the cutie out on Instagram, and the account is a deeper look into the couple’s private life.
We hope these two can work things out and bring their family back together. In the meantime we will be waiting to see the fate of Jordan’s future as he competes for JoJo’s heart on the hit show!
