Pep has only been with Man City for a short period of time and he’s already making waves, helping bring in Ilkay Gundogan, 25, and Nolito, 29, to assist with the team’s offense, according to the Latin Post. Pep will hope that they will help lift the Sky Blues over his old team, as he faces their new coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
Carlo has history with the Bavarians. Before he spent the 2014-15 season with Real Madrid, Carlo led Bayern to win the Champions Leage in 2013-14. So, it’s safe to say that Munich fans are excited for his return.
Man City is expected to start Jesus Navas, 30, alongside Iheanacho, 19, while Bayern will likely play Franck Ribery, 33, Xabi Alonso, 34, and Douglas Costa, 25, per Total Sport Tek. However, Sergio Aguero, 28, Nicolas Otamendi, 28, Kevin De Bruyne, 25, Raheem Sterling, 21, Nolito and Joe Hart, 29, are expected to sit out, as every player who participated in the Euro 2016 and Copa America must be given at least 30 days to rest. Still, even without those stars, this will be an exciting game!
