History was made on July 28, and her name is Hillary Clinton. The newly-minted Democratic nominee told the watching world just what America’s future with a female president will be like — and how there may not BE a future if Donald Trump is in charge!
Hillary Clinton, 68, stood victorious in white onstage at the Democratic National Convention on July 28, and gave her rousing victory speech after officially accepting the party’s nomination. Her impassioned speech gave firm ideas for her presidential platform, her hopes for the next four years, and just aout anything else you could ask out of an acceptance speech. Oh yeah, and she dunked on Republican nominee Donald Trump, 70, hard!
You didn’t think Hillary was going to make it to her victory lap without rubbing Trump’s face in it, right? This was a historic night, not just for Hillary, not just for the Democrats, but for the entire world. Hillary’s stunning speech was as much about herself and her ideals as it was trying to warn the national about Trump. Hillary laid it out simply: if you can anger the man so much with a tweet that he freaks out, then how can you trust that quick temper and bad judgement walking around underneath a bad toupee with the nuclear codes? You can’t!

This may have been the best speech that Hillary has ever given. You may remember that the previous week, Trump shouted out a rambling, hate-filled speech with pointed jabs full of his usual suspects: he’s going to build a wall, ban all muslims, make America great again, etc. Hillary took umbrage with that, and pointed out his weaknesses while driving home her own. “Last week, Trump spoke for 70-odd minutes. And I mean, they were odd,” Hillary said, as the convention burst into laughter — and that counts doubly for Bill Clinton.
Hillary attacked Trump for grossly saying, repeatedly, that he’s the only person to “fix” America. Hillary pointed out, poetically, that saying “I alone can fix it” is pretty arrogant, and incorrect; “Americans don’t say ‘I alone can fix it.’ We say ‘We will fix it together!’’ Hear, hear!
