Although Rielle and John are friends today, her affair with the former politician ruined his marriage. The two had an affair in 2007 while he was still married to his breast cancer stricken wife Elizabeth, who estranged him from the couple’s three children for a period of time. John was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination when Rielle gave birth to their daughter in February 2008. The former Sen. denied he fathered a child, dismissing any allegations of the affair. Finally in 2010, the same year Elizabeth passed away, John admitted he was Quinn’s father. He even issued an apology in 2013 through the Huffington post.
