Now, the Galaxy are always a team that has to be feared. After all, not only do they boast a number of european superstars throughout their line-up, they’re also rich in history with 5 MLS Cup to their name. That’s the most of any team in the league.

And with experienced coach Bruce Arena organizing his charges, and making them fairly difficult to beat, when it comes to the knockout stages, they’ll be difficult to break down. The Galaxy currently sits in fourth place in the Western Conference, but are only two points clear of 7th placed Portland Timbers, who are outside of the playoff positions. So, it’s imperative the Galaxy put a run together to challenge Dallas at the top of the standings.

In terms of injuries, the Galaxy will be without star defender Ashley Cole, who is still nursing a hamstring injury. Dave Romney is likely to keep his place in the starting eleven. In an attacking sense, the Galaxy will pose serious threats with Robbie Keane, Giovani dos Santos and Steven Gerrard providing the assists.
