Oh yes!!! Matt Damon brought his wicked sense of humor to ‘The Tonight Show’ July 27 and he and Jimmy Fallon could not stop cracking each other up. They played the always amazing game of ‘Box of Lies’ and this has to be one of the funniest versions yet, you’ve got to watch the side-splitting video!
It’s always going to be a great night when you have Matt Damon, 45, show up to hang with Jimmy Fallon, 41, and of course their sofa chat was excellent. But it was their hilarious game of Box of Lies that had us totally on the floor. The premise of the game is they get an object in a box that their opponent can’t see and they either describe the crazy thing in front of them as it really is, or lie and make up something else. It was a great test of their ability to bluff each other so let’s see how they did!
Matt opened his box which was a bonsai tree covered with garden gnomes, but instead he described a slinky with a nose on it. He totally kept a straight face, but Jimmy called him out as a liar and he was right! Jimmy then got a clear piggy bank filled with shrimp, but instead he described a miniature hot tub with Luke Skywalker, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and Justin Bieber in it. Matt totally fell for the crazy description and Jimmy pronounced himself the world’s greatest liar by winning the game!

Matt looked every inch the megastar that he is when he came on to chat up his latest turn as Jason Bourne in the movie by the same name. He looked nearly red carpet ready in a dapper black three-piece suit with a silver tie. He shared the Prince story that he discusses in the new GQ, where he was in London for a premiere and got front row seats to the singer’s concert there. He said that after the show he made small talk to the legend, asking him if he still lived in Minnesota and in his best Prince impression said, “I live in my own heart Matt Damon.” It’s so funny how Prince always called people by their full names and Matt’s version of his speaking pattern was spot on.
He talked about his early days as a teen actor along with Ben Affleck, heading down from Boston to audition for roles in NYC even though they had no industry connections. “We flew Trump air to fly to New York,” he laughed, referencing Donald Trump‘s long defunct airline and Jimmy suggested he has the Republican presidential nominee to thank for his career. “I could also thank Greyhound cause we took the bus sometimes too,” Matt joked back. Too funny!
