Melissa McCarthy Demands Change: Fashion Shouldn’t Stop At Size 12 — Watch

Melissa McCarthy is speaking her mind! The ‘Ghostbusters’ actress stopped by Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show to discuss how fashion designers should be willing to dress women of ALL sizes  — as they don’t just stop ‘at a size 12.’ HollywoodLife.com has the epic clip, right here!

We’ve got to commend Melissa McCarthy, 45, for boldly stating how she was fed up with people telling her what she can wear. She was in studio for Chelsea‘s talk show, which be available to stream on July 21, and was fully candid about the bone she had to pick with women’s fashion lines. The star admitted that she didn’t agree with ladies being “compartmentalized” based on their body types, having to wear certain styles or colors that flatter their figures. She admitted she’s been “every size in the world” and wishes designers would adapt: “After I was a size 12, apparently I was done dressing. I’d love for everyone to know it doesn’t stop at size 12!”

Melissa revealed that those type of ideals are exactly what gave her the inspiration to create her own clothing line, with ALL sizes, which is now sold on the Home Shopping Network. She proudly owns her confidence, admitting that she creates her apparel for red carpets, award shows and even does a ton of behind-the-scenes work.

The star shared that she does the prints, fittings and loves the “tremendous amount” of effort it takes. She’s certainly got talent, as she looked hot-to-trot for her interview, wearing a printed green body suit that hugged her curves in the best way! She styled her bayalaged locks in beach waves and accessorized with a dainty sparkly necklace.

Before closing out their segment, Melissa and Chelsea high-fived after she called these types of perspectives on women’s bodies “stupid,” to which the host responded, “Good for you sister!” The Ghostbusters actress continues to break boundaries, considering she recently graced the cover of ELLE Magazine for their first “Women In Comedy” issue in July, alongside her hilarious co-stars Kate McKinnon, 32, Kristen Wiig, 42, and Leslie Jones, 48. Keep slaying!
