After Taylor, 26, and Ye, 39, went for another battle round on July 18 when their feud reignited right in front of our eyes, Selena, 23, was one of the first (of many) celebs to add her two cents. She jumped right in to defend her longtime BFF, and although Sel was attacked her for outspoken team Taylor rebuttal, she’s still sticking in her corner.
“Selena is hoping Taylor will come see her when she performs in Australia in early August. Selena feels horrible that Taylor is in the middle of so much negativity and drama. She’s been encouraging Taylor to enjoy her time with Tom as much as possible and to focus on her songwriting as a way to vent,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells us. How sweet! The besties appear to be closer than ever despite their separate Independence day bashes, as Sel, “just wishes she could be with her right now to give her a big hug.”
The “Good For You” singer is set to perform in Brisbane on August 11 among other Australian dates. Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, where Taylor and her actor beau Tom Hiddleston, 35, are currently staying, so it’s likely Tay will go to see her fellow squad member strut her stuff on stage. This comes as no surprise since HollywoodLife.com already told you that Sel totally supports Tay’s relationship.
