There is currently a Star Wars convention going down in London, England, but the fans in the audience understandably had other things on their mind during the big event. Since the attack on innocent bystanders in Nice, France took place just 24 hours before they gathered for a panel, many fans were left devastated at the thought of a terrorist driving a truck through a large crowd of people, leaving over 80 of them dead.
As the Star Wars fans gathered, actress Gwendoline Christie addressed the crowd and asked for a moment of silence and prayer for all of the lives that were lost in Nice the night before. Just before the moment came to an end, fans in the audience started to sing France’s National Anthem at the top of their lungs. It was a beautiful way to end the tribute, and as other fans joined in the rest started applauding in support. It was definitely a touching moment for everyone there.
In more uplifting news, a family was reunited with their 8-month-old baby boy after he was lost in the scuffle during the ruthless attack. Once news of the lost baby spread, the mother’s friends and family quickly started sharing his picture and information on Facebook, which quickly went viral. Thankfully, a woman had discovered the baby and brought him inside her home so that he would be safe from the chaos. She quickly went online and discovered the baby’s identity, which is how she was able to reunite the young boy with his mother.
