Taylor Swift Officially Listed As Songwriter On Calvin Harris’ ‘TIWYCF’: Legal Battle?

Taylor Swift is claiming what’s hers! The singer has officially been named as a songwriter on Calvin Harris’ hit, ‘This Is What You Came For’, therefore dropping her pseudonym from the song’s credit! Could this be the start of a nasty legal battle for the ex-lovers?

Aside from her Kimye feud, Taylor is pulling double duty, battling with her ex, Calvin, 32 over his hit, “TIWYCF”. Yes, guys, this is still going on, and now the “Bad Blood” singer has officially been named as a songwriter on the track she and the DJ originally decided her to be named Nils Sjoberg under, TMZ confirms in exclusive documents.

It appears Taylor has changed the name on BMI [Broadcast Music Inc.], the site reports, which controls and protects licenses for songwriters. Now, on the documents, Taylor is a co-writer, as well as Calvin. This change comes after the two hid their collaboration from world, and mutually decided it was best for Rihanna, 28, to take over on the vocals, according to TMZ. After a series of controversial tweets from Calvin, a feud was ignited, leaving everyone to question what is actually going on! SO, could this new change to the legal docs mean there’s a nasty lawful storm coming to light?

Well, the hit song could rake in $250,000 in royalties, and since Calvin eventually ended up admitting Tay wrote lyrics to the song (right before he slammed her on Twitter), that means she could be getting a portion of the profit.

Relive Taylor & Calvin’s Relationship Here

As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY told you from Music and Business Attorney Melissa K. Dagodag, “The royalties go into the pockets of the songwriters and that is why they are fighting over it because Taylor obviously makes a lot of money from her song writing.” So, it looks like Tay may be cashing in for the hit she planned to keep mum about. “In a summer alone, the song could earn perhaps $250,000 in royalties if it is a huge song, potentially depending on the sales numbers, Taylor and Calvin could be splitting a lot of money,” the attorney told us.

While we are unclear as to why the change was made at this specific time, this could potentially mean there are bigger legal problems to come. Time will tell with these two uneasy exes, but you know we will keep you updated on Taylor’s feuds as she her most infamous tit-for-tat with Kanye West, 39, was reignited July 18.
