Génesis Dávila, 23, is in the midst of a pageant disaster as she was stripped of her crown and title following bombshell accusations that she violated organization rules. She was dethroned immediately after pageant officials discovered she used professional hair and makeup artists to achieve her incredible look for the competition. Executive producer of the Miss Florida USA pageant, Grant Gravitt, said in a statement following the news, “We have a zero-tolerance policy on rules,” to Miami’s ABC Local 10 on July 22. He also mentioned other contestants had complained, and there was “substantial proof” that displayed her to be guilty of the accusations.
After major buzz circulated around the pageant winner, model and Instagram sensation, many had wondered who really is Génesis? Here’s everything you need to know about the 23-year-old.
1. She’s a Puerto Rican born beauty with Afro-Puerto Rican heritage, who lives in the 305!
Although she currently resides in Miami Beach, FL, Génesis was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico and she’s super proud of her roots! Her Instagram is flooded with pics of her enjoying holidays in Puerto Rico, and she’s all smiles as she poses in different snaps.
2. She’s becoming no stranger to pageant controversy…
Aside from her hair and make-up debacle, Génesis could be in the middle of a legal smackdown. Lawyers for the pageant guru “began preparing the lawsuit after organizers refused to reinstate her. The lawsuit also alleges that the pageant directors accused Davila of not being an American citizen,” the Miami Herald reported. She is set to speak about the controversy August 1, and “she will also speak about the $5 million lawsuit she and her attorney, Richard Wolfe, are filing against the owners of the Miss Florida USA pageant at a press conference at her lawyer’s office. The lawsuit seeks damages for defamation, and Wolfe said he also plans to file an emergency injunction,” the site also informs.

3. She’s a model and bikini clad pro!
Not only can she walk the pageant stage, but she’s a runway stunner too. Génesis doubles as a competition titleholder and a seasoned model, and according to her awesome modeling shots on her Instagram, she’s signed with Front Management — a renowned agency that represents top international models with clients ranging from Ralph Lauren to Tommy Hilfiger, and so much more. It’s evident that she loves the beach, since her IG page is filled with super sexy bikini selfies, and we’re having major bathing suit envy right now.

The gorgeous Puerto Rico native posted an adorable photo with her mom on Instagram with the cutest caption ever. She said she “realized” when she looks at her mom, she’s “looking at the purest love you will ever know.” AW!
