What is actually going on with Jennifer, 44, and Ben, 43? The Nine Lives actress gets candid in a new interview about her relationship with Ben, and the details inside her private life aren’t what we expected from a couple who’s called it quits. “We are definitely a modern family, we’re doing really well,” she reveals in an interview on NBC’s Today August 4.
While we are unsure if they will reconcile right now, a very happy Jen talked about how she and Ben are living their lives uncoupled and co-parenting their three children. “He and I are great friends,” she confessed. “You don’t have a choice,” she explained when talking about how the two tag-team their shared parenting duties. They seem better than ever after all of their ups and downs, so maybe another go at their marriage could be in the cards?
Ben and Jen collaborated so much since their split that she mentioned how the “modern” family recently took a trip to London where Ben was working on Justice League. The actress said she “just felt that the kids should have that experience,” when referencing their visit to see dad in London town.

The couple has been going above and beyond to make sure their family stays together as a unit, and their love is evidently too strong to permanently end things. Like HollywoodLife.com previously told you, “The Jen and Ben divorce is on hold for now.” Not to mention, they were even spotted kissing and holding hands in Paris back in May 2016. That’s definitely divorce behavior, right? Not quite. Although their relationship has been hard work lately, they’re not ready to go down for the count just yet. The source even told us, “Jen is not an impulsive woman and she’s not totally ready to sign off.” What she does need is “to make sure Ben is committed to being a husband and father, so she’s giving him more and more responsibility. So far, he’s stepped up to the plate.”
By Jen’s happy interview and our insider info, it seems the couple is doing very well, so hopefully they can work out any issues they have. But, time will tell for these two who keep us guessing. Right now they’re co-parenting as they live semi-separate lives, so we’ll just have to wait and see if this split will last!
