Kris Jenner is one proud mama! She can’t stop gushing over the news that her son-in-law Kanye West has topped Michael Jackson with more top 100 ‘Billboard’ hits than the late King of Pop. Keep reading for the major props she’s sending Yeezy’s way.
Kris Jenner, 60, just couldn’t contain her joy over the news that Kanye West, 39, has surpassed the late Michael Jackson with 40 songs to make the Billboard Top 100. “Congrats to my son #kanyewest for making record chart history!! 40 hit songs on the Hot 100! I am beyond proud!! #proudmama #billboard,” she wrote on her Instagram while also posting an article announcing the news. But once was not enough as she immediately followed it up by posting a Forbes magazine article about the achievement with the caption,Congratulations to my son #kanyewest I am so proud of you and your amazing talent… #beyondproud #proudmama #genius #love.” In case you can’t tell, Kris really really really impressed with her daughter Kim Kardashian‘s hubby’s achievement.

Yeezy has Schoolboy Q’s new single “The Part” to thank for his lofty achievement, as he’s featured on the track that has climbed to number 40 on the Billboard 100 as of Aug. 9. He’s always been a big fan of Michael’s so this really must be a humbling experience for him. “I would not be Kanye West if it wasn’t for Michael Jackson,” he told BBC Radio One in 2013.
While he may have just taken out the King of Pop, Kanye’s still got a long way to go to top Elvis Presley‘s long standing record of 80 top 100 hits. By overtaking Michael, he’s now at number 10 among male singers with his 40th song to make the chart. He’s behind the likes of his mentor Jay Z, 46, who sits at number six with 46 songs, thanks to his collaborations and featured work with other artists whose songs have charted. Kanye’s buddy Drake, 29, ranks at number four with 53 top 100 hits, but as far as modern artists go, Lil Wayne, 33, reigns supreme in the number two position with a whopping 69 songs that have hit the top 100, and he’s still cranking out new tunes.
