He and Gareth Bale, 27, Toni Kroos, 26, or Pepe, 33, will appear in this game. Since they played in the Euro 2016 tournament, they’re sitting this match out to heal and rest up, per the International Business Times. Karim Benzema, 28, will likely ride the bench for this match, as he’s dealing with a hip problem that sidelined him for Real Madrid’s first two matches in the states.
The German squad has discovered they have a possible breakout star on their hands. Julian Green, 21, who scored in the World Cup for the U.S. two years ago, hasn’t played a single minute in the Bundesliga for Bayern. Yet, since he’s returned to U.S. soil for the Champions Cup, he’s been incredible. Julian scored a hat-trick against Inter Milan, leading the Germans in a 4-1 blowout on July 31.
