Kerri currently has 3 gold medals to her name which she picked up at the Athens, Beijing and London games. Before Rio she had only played with her long-time partner Misty May. But Misty retired from the sport after the 2012 games, though the pair ended on a high note with a spotless record. They were the only team to ever remain undefeated in Olympic beach volleyball play.

But this year, Kerri teamed up with April, who won silver with Jennifer Kessy at the 2012 games. April is looking to get her first ever taste of gold in Rio this year. So far they have crushed Australia, Switzerland, China and Italy. If they can take down Brazil, they will be moving on to the finals and up for ultimate glory. We wish all the players the best of luck. Go for the gold ladies, and may the best team win!
