Amazing athleticism! Simone Biles dominated again to win gold in the floor exercise at the Rio Olympics. With a final score of 15.966, the gymnast earned her fourth gold and fifth medal during her last event in Rio. Teammate Aly Raisman followed close behind with silver, well done ladies!
It was an amazing field of talent with star gymnasts from around the world. Simone Biles was the favorite in the competition and close behind was her teammate, fellow American Alexandra Raisman. Simone would dominate and win gold with Aly earning a silver and Amy Tinkler of Great Britain will bring home a bronze for her efforts.
Simone and Aly have gained a lot of experience in a short amount of time as they both were part of the gold-winning women’s all-around team. Also, Aly earned silver, right behind Simone who earned gold in the individual all-around. So these two were like a couple of Olympic veterans heading into this event.
The 2016 Olympics in Rio have been full of highs and lows with many of the games emerging stars coming from the arena of gymnastics. Simone really has been outstanding in almost all of her events and came out firing in this competition. She was looking for redemption after earning bronze in the beam event. Everything else Simone has turned to gold.

The rest of the field in this event was almost equally impressive. Yan Chang from China put on an impressive show as did Amy Tinkler from Great Britain.
