Claressa is looking to repeat with another gold medal at the Rio games, after she became the first U.S. woman to win a boxing gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics. If she beats Yaroslava, she’ll immediately know who she’ll next face in the semi’s as the other quarterfinals match between Dariga Shakimova of Kazakhstan and Moroccan fighter Khadija Mardi will immediately follow Claressa’s bout.

The day kicks off at 10am EST with with the women’s light 60 kg semifinals that has Finland’s Mira Potkonen battling China’s Yin Junhua followed by the other semi match of Anastasia Belyakova of Russia fighting France’s Estelle Mossely. We know all four ladies are looking to advance to the gold medal round and giving their best shots. Claressa’s match follows immediately after the light 60kg fights end.
