Amar’e Stoudemire is saying farewell to his career as one of the NBA’s most dependable stars. While he’s calling it quits on his 14-years in the league, he made the bombshell move of singing a one day contract with the New York Knicks so he can retire as a player for his former team.
Thanks for the greatness! Amar’e Stoudemire, 33, is retiring after 14 incredible seasons in the NBA, but he’s going out on his own terms, literally. He played five seasons with the New York Knicks from 2010 – 2015 before being traded to Dallas and then Miami, but he wants to leave the league as a member of the Knicks so he signed a one day contract with the team before his retirement is official. What a baller move!
