This is such devastating news! After Brock Lesnar’s triumphant MMA comeback at UFC 200, he’s now embroiled in controversy for a possible doping violation. Keep reading for the shocking new allegations against The Beast.
Oh no! Brock Lesnar, 39, has been riding high after making his successful comeback to the UFC after a five-year absence, but now he’s the subject of a doping investigation. The sample in question was taken less than two weeks before his blistering fight against Mark Hunt, 42, where he absolutely dominated over his Kiwi opponent.
UFC officials made the news public in a release July 15, stating that “The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28, 2016. USADA received the testing results from the June 28, 2016 sample collection from the WADA-accredited UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory on the evening of July 14, 2016.”

Brock was tested five times in the two weeks leading up to UFC 200 and his June 28 sample tested positive for some sort of banned substance. He was still able to compete at UFC 200 because the results didn’t come back until after the bout. He has the right to have the “B” sample taken to be tested, and he can also appeal the USADA’s findings. He’s not going to be stripped of anything as he wasn’t battling for any title at UFC 200, he was there as the big draw after not fighting in the octagon since 2011. But a positive result could have an impact over at the WWE where he’s currently employed and a top shelf star.
It’s heartbreaking to have the news of a possible doping violation taint his epic win at UFC 200, where he showed off that he hasn’t missed a beat when it comes to mixed martial arts fighting skills in his years over at the WWE. He was a total machine and even though the fight went all three rounds, he won on points.
