“Their relationship was pretty strong and it worked out pretty well and then they got engaged. Things pretty much ended there,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Their romance hit a roadblock when it came to making it to the altar, as Gaga didn’t seem to want to move past being Taylor’s fiance.
“Everything was going well but he wanted to get married, he wanted to start a family faster than she wanted to and that ended up causing the strain because they had different relationship goals,” our source continues. Awww….Chicago Fire star Taylor, 35, wanted to be a daddy but Lady Gaga, 30, apparently wasn’t ready to become a wife and mother. She’s got so much on her plate these days as she balances her music with her blossoming acting career, especially now that she might be starring in the film remake of A Star Is Born.
However, all hope is not lost as the love is still there, and the couple’s split didn’t involve any animosity. “As for getting back together, most likely not, but they didn’t end things on bad terms so if they start talking again maybe there is a glimmer of hope.” our source adds. Things seemed to be going so well for the couple, who got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2015 and have been together for five years. Taylor was at Gaga’s side throughout the 2016 awards season last winter, and they always looked so in love on every red carpet.Taylor is now in Chicago ready to shoot the next season of his NBC hit so hopefully these two will start burning up the phone lines and find a way to patch things up.
