If you were looking for Malia Obama, 18, at the 2016 DNC Thursday night, you definitely didn’t find her, because she was busy dancing with friends at Chicago’s biggest must fest. President Obama‘s, 54, daughter was spotted festival attendees at the Cashmere Cat set, and no need to worry, her secret service was right by her side! Photos and video of her started to surface on Twitter almost immediately after she was seen.
Malia is no rookie to the festival scene. She caused a similar buzz when she was seen at Chance the Rapper‘s, 23, set during the music festival in 2014, which was her first time there. “A White House spokesperson declined to comment,” The Chicago Tribune reported.

The 18-year-old is probably soaking up all of the fun things to do before she heads off to Harvard. No big deal! The White House released in a statement on May 1 that Malia was accepted to Harvard University’s class of 2017, and that she would be taking a gap year before beginning her education. We can’t wait to see what great things she will accomplish.
It seems the sky’s the limit after her dream internship with Lena Dunham, 30, in 2015. She got to work with the cast of the hit HBO series Girls. Not to mention, the year before, Malia also worked as a production assistant for Halle Berry’s, 49, CBS show Extant! And she wasn’t slowing down any time soon after that, because she landed a summer internship with the U.S. Embassy in Spain in 2016.
Although she skipped the DNC, we’re happy to see Malia enjoying some quality time with her friends, and we’re sure her family was too. You go, girl!
