Kali J. Bookey, 14, of New Richmond, Wisconsin was charged as an adult with attempted first-degree intentional homicide on July 28, and is being held without bail, at a juvenile detention center, according to a new report by the Daily Mail. Kali said she was a “psychopath,” who was looking for her very “first kill,” that day and biked to her brother’s girlfriend’s house, where she allegedly beat the girl and slit her throat. How tragic!
Kali reportedly told investigators she was trying to scare the 15-year-old victim into leaving the area. Dawn Bookey, said there had been no signs that her daughter was planning to attack the victim and that her family is very, very sad, in a phone interview with the Daily Mail.

According to the news outlet, at 9:30 a.m. on July 28, police reported to an area of New Richmond, where they ran into Kali. She allegedly told officers that she was riding her bike early that morning when two men in ski masks, armed with a knife, began to assault her. The teen told the officers she attempted to get rid of the attackers by telling them there was a girl home alone in a nearby house. The police arrived there to find the victim bleeding extensively from her face and neck and yelling for an ambulance. The girl reportedly identified Kali as her attacker and said she had brutalized her for hours — suffocating her, beating her and cutting her. Kali allegedly told the girl to “have a nice afterlife,” as she was leaving. The victim stated that Kali said she planned the attack for several days, biking past the house to find out when people were home.
Kali reportedly took back her story about the men in ski hats and took the blame for the attack — saying the reason she did it was because of how happy the victim made her 16-year-old brother. That’s so dark! Now our thoughts and prayers are with the victim, and her family and friends, as she continues to recover in the hospital. Officers say her injuries were “very serious.” “If we didn’t find her when we did, I think there was the potential for them to be fatal,” Scott Knudson, chief deputy for the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, said.
