Things got heated when Megyn Kelly sat down to discuss recent police shootings with comedian D.L Hughley, and he blasted Fox News for racism. Watch their explosive on-air argument here!
Megyn Kelly, 45, found herself in the line of fire during a sit down discussion with radio host, actor and comedian, D.L. Hughley, 53. The political commentator went back and forth with the veteran Fox News anchor, and things got ugly as the two argued over insults and racial accusations.
Megyn, host of The Kelly File, was insulted and astounded as she took on the unexpected racism comments of D.L. The two began a seemingly calm discussion on the topic of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot and killed by police in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. A healthy, back-and-forth banter was taking place until the pair disagreed on details of the 2014 death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri — then conversation took a turn for the worse.

D.L voices his side on the issue, and Megyn accuses him of making assumptions. Going tit for tat, interrupting each other, the tone shifted with the comedian voicing, “Wow, wow…” and the Fox News anchor hit back, “Don’t ‘wow’ me!” He continues, “Don’t tell me not to ‘wow’ you, I can say ‘wow’ if I want to.” WOW…
As the two raise their voices to a whole other octave, D.L takes a major shot at Megyn, who is no stranger to controversial comments, and the Fox News network. He sarcastically says, “The only place that racism doesn’t exist is Fox News and the police department. That’s absolutely true.”
She shockingly says, “That’s insulting,” in a disappointed tone. “You just insulted millions of people watching this channel.” D.L’s response? — “Well, I’m insulted by the things I hear on this network. So we’re even.” He was seemingly referring to Fox News accommodating their broad conservative audience. “I could care less about insulting people that insult me on a daily basis,” he continues.

Megyn attempts to “have a productive conversation,” by aiming to shift the focus and hostile tone of the discussion back to their original topics. It almost seems to be on the right track as the two began to speak of the way, “whites see different incidences than blacks do.” Then, the seasoned anchor says, “You know what shuts down all reasonable dialogue, is throwing out the term racism before it’s been proven.”
D.L. begins to reference past police reports and says, “I don’t know a black man that hasn’t had a run-in with a police officer, from the highest to the low. So my perception of this is based on the experience that I’ve had, just like yours are. So I am not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.” Megyn responds, “It’s very dangerous when you get to the point where you paint an entire group with the same brush based on the bad actions of a few people.”
The comedian slams right back with, “That is amazing to hear on this network, that really is,” sarcastically, of course. Seconds after, a disappointed and seemingly exhausted Megyn cuts him off and ends the discussion with, “D.L, thanks for being here.”
