Brace yourselves Pokemon GO fans! You may need to wait a little bit long for your Pokemon GO Plus experience, because Nintendo has officially delayed the release of the game accessory. Find out the new release!
Nintendo revealed they have delayed the release of Pokemon GO Plus on July 27, CNN Money reported. The Japanese video game company also posted a “$233 million net loss for the most recent quarter.” Now, the release of the game was moved back from the end of July to September, and there was no reason given for the delay.
This doesn’t seem to be an ideal time for Nintendo, as the site reports that company’s shares had plunged following their announcement that Pokemon GO would “only have a ‘limited’ effect on it’s bottom line.” The gaming company’s share price more than doubled following the release of the hit game earlier this month, the site notes, adding $23 billion to the company’s market value. However, now the stock is down around 30% from its high last week.

The hit game was actually developed and distributed by the privately-held establishment, Niantic, a company, CCN states, “both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, one of its subsidiaries, have invested in — but so have other firms including Google.”
Pokemon GO Plus is an accessory for the insanely popular game that is taking the world by storm — even celebrities are obsessed with it. The Plus is a separate device that essentially makes the user experience more accessible and easy for on-the-go gaming, so you don’t have to keep looking down at your phone. The highly anticipated device connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, using LED and vibration to alert you about events in the game or nearby Pokemon.
We know guys, we were bummed about the delay too, but while you try and patiently wait for Pokemon GO Plus, you can always attempt to find your Pokemon soulmate. The game’s new dating service, PokeDates gives you a chance to find the one by sharing training schedules that will match you up with other players. Yes, it’s a thing.
