As the Kimye and Taylor Swift feud picks up steam, squad member, Uzo Aduba spoke out in her friend’s defense, saying that if anyone could get through this, it would definitely be her! Preach!
That’s another vote for Team Taylor. After the Orange Is the New Black star had seen her friend being mocked on social media after Kim Kardashian, 35, leaked the secretly recorded “Famous” consent tape, she immediately came to her defense. But Uzo, 35, didn’t seem too worried that things wouldn’t turn around for Tay. When asked if she thought the singer would overcome her ongoing battle with Kanye West, 39, and Kim, she said there was no doubt in her mind she would. “She will. She’s a beautiful person and strong,” Uzo told Vanity Fair at the screening of the Netflix original Tallulah. That is so sweet!
It’s no surprise that Uzo would come to the singer’s defense. The award-winning actress, who previously celebrated the Fourth of July with Taylor and her crew at the singer’s huge bash, has always gushed about her friendship. She shared a dozen of pics on her own Instagram account, laughing and making a splash with “Shake It Off” singer and the rest of her gal pals.

And while Uzo is still a newbie in Taylor’s girl squad, she’s already joined the pop princess on stage during her stop in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on The 1989 World Tour in July 2015. Following that fun time, Uzo shared how much her friend inspires her. “All those girls are great, all lovely, and she’s so lovely,” she told HuffPost Live. “It was amazing, and that energy in that space! Just playing to 60,000 people – screaming fans who know every word, who love her music, myself included.”
Uzo is actually one of the first members from Taylor’s squad to have her back. With the exception of Selena Gomez, 23, many others have fell silent on her drama with Kimye. Pals Karlie Kloss, 23, and Cara Delevingne, 23, haven’t broken their silence, as well as Gigi Hadid, 21, who is reportedly in conflict because of her friendship with Kim’s little sis Kendall Jenner, 20. But even so, Uzo’s support joins a number of celeb supporters including, Ruby Rose, Chloe Moretz, 19, and Blake Lively, 26.
