The dreary weather has hindered many, with the wind and rain playing havoc with many golfer’s who just don’t know how to handle these conditions!

But that didn’t deter lefty Phil Mickelson, who raced into an early lead in the first few days, which included coming within inches of shooting the first 62 in championship history. His nearest challenger, Henrik Stenson, is also hoping of glory at The Open, adding to his FedEX Cup and Race to Dubai titles in 2013.

Whatever happens on the final round, it’s going to be almightily close. And we won’t know who will edge closer to winning the majority share of the $9.3 million purse until Sunday afternoon. There’s plenty more golf to be played, and the winner could be anybody.
Last year, it was American golfer Zach Johnson, currently ranked 52 in the world, who was the unlikely hero. His triumph was extra special because it came 8 years after he defeated Tiger Woods in The Masters Tournament. Way to go, Zach!
