“This is my last one,” Michael said to reporters, as some were skeptical that he might un-retire, like he did after hanging up his swimming goggles following the 2012 Olympics, per The Daily Beast. “No more. I’m done. The body is done.” It’s hard to think, especially after seeing all that brand new gold around his neck, that Michael’s body is less-than-perfect, but after five Olympics games – a record for male swimmers! – he knows it’s time to say good-bye.

Katie Ledecky, 19, will try to add to her impressive Rio 2016 medal count when she dives in the pool for the 800m freestyle final. This event is the one where she, at just age 15, stunned the world after taking home the London 2012 gold. Since then, she’s ruled the pool, scoring gold medals and shattering records in her wake. Will she end her time in Rio on a high note?
These two events aren’t the only ones going on. The women’s 200m backstroke final will take place, while the women’s 50m freestyle semis will decide who compete for the gold. By the end of the day, the men’s 50m freestyle champ will be crowned, as one swimmer will leave Rio with the best kind of souvenir – a gold medal!
