This will be the girls’ second game in this year’s Olympics. First, they went head-to-head with New Zealand winning 2-0. Then France took a beating from USA on Aug. 6, when after quite the battle they beat them out 1-0! Hopefully they’ll carry on the winning stream for the next two weeks so that they can bring the gold home to America!

These ladies are not stranger to victory. The girls took home the World Cup in 2015, proving that they are the best women’s soccer team in the world! While they are still dominant so far, some things have changed since 2015. Most importantly, their fearless leader Abby Wambach retired after the season, leaving Carli to lead the team to victory.
