A young Kate McKinnon, 32, looks absolutely adorable in this throwback pic Gillian, 47, just shared on Twitter July 18. She captioned the sweet pic addressed to the SNL funny woman, “We have something in common & it’s not slimy green things.”
In the photo Kate, clearly a fan, is dressed like Gillian’s character in the science-fiction hit show, Dana Scully, and this is all we’ve been longing for! Gillian also posted the photo to her Facebook with the same kind caption.

The popular show, which began in 1993, had it’s final run before ending it’s iconic era in 2016, and it seems as though this pic is exactly what the internet needed. Gillian’s gesture to the comedic genius sparked a flood of user throwback photos from fans on Twitter, who then posted throwback photos of themselves dressed just like Dana Scully.
