There is more controversy surrounding Donald Trump following the 2016 RNC, and this time no speeches were involved. In fact, he didn’t speak a word, but he did use his entrance song, ‘We Are The Champions’ without permission!
Donald, 70, walked out to the RNC July 18 to Queen‘s “We Are The Champions,” and it seemed like the perfect moment, as he strolled out to greet his supporters. The only problem is, his dramatic entrance song was used without permission. “Queen’s anthem was never approved by Queen,” TMZ reported. A rep for Sony Music ATV, who owns the publishing rights on the song, said “the Trump campaign never asked nor were they given permission to use the song.”
This isn’t the first time Donald has used the song without authority though. “Trump also used ‘Champions’ last month, and Queen’s Brian May came out firing, saying he would ‘never give permission to use the song because the band never wanted it used for politics,'” the site revealed.

There is no word on if Sony plans to take legal action as of yet, but if they do, things could take a messy turn for Donald, as he is probably occupied with the 2016 RNC platform being revealed, which is sparking a major shift for the conservative party.
The RNC has generated more buzz than we originally thought it would, with the allegations of plagiarism against Melania Trump, 46, for her first major political speech. Following the news that her speech sounded awfully familiar to a speech Michelle Obama, 52, gave in 2008, the internet attacked Donald’s wife after her July 18th speech, trolling her with the hashtag, “FamousMelaniaTrumpQuotes” and mean tweets.
