Is this the RNC or the WWE?! The Republican National Convention has been pretty crazy, but it got even kookier during the last day on July 21. The internet basically exploded when Ivanka Trump introduced Donald by The Rock’s nickname. We have all the best reactions, here!
The Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, seemed to turn into the Octagon during the Republican National Convention on July 21! Ivanka Trump gave a very sweet and emotional speech to introduce her dad and the GOP nominee Donald Trump. However, when she described him as “The People’s Champion,” people on the internet lost their minds.

That’s because “The People’s Champion,” was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s nickname back when he was a professional wrestler in the WWE, and wrestling fans are none too happy that Ivanka copped it for The Donald!
Some are totally bashing Donald, saying that he’s not deserving of such an epic nickname, while others just think it’s the funniest thing they’ve ever heard. Others still thought that it made Ivanka’s speech fun and relatable. Here’s everything they had to say:
Though there have been a select few viral moments at this year’s Republican National Convention, it’s been relatively tame compared to the rest of the race. Donald’s campaign has been plagued by violence, riots and out of control protests, but the RNC has only had a few instances of protests, and all besides one were perfectly peaceful.
As far as insults go,they’ve also been pretty lame. As a matter of fact, the only one that got any attention was when vice presidential candidate Mike Pence called Hillary Clinton “Secretary of the Status Quo.” The lukewarm insult trended on Twitter, but only because Democrats were making fun of his weak attempt at sharp humor!
