What a treat! We loved seeing Gisele Bundchen help Brasil start the summer games in style. The breathtaking supermodel came out of retirement just to appear at the 2016 Rio Olympics opening ceremony, and it was totally worth it! Of course, Gisele is Brazilian, and so proud of her heritage, so it was perfect for her to help start off the games!
The Brazilian bombshell gave her signature walk across the massive stadium, and she basically took our breath away. Her long brown hair flowed effortlessly over her shoulders while she wore pink lipstick and a giant grin across her face. She couldn’t be happier to be here! She was definitely the center of attention with a sparkling singer long-sleeved gown, which showed off her long legs with a thigh-high slit. They don’t call her an angel for nothing! The famous Brazilian bossa nova jazz song “The Girl from Ipanema,” was playing, and it couldn’t have been a better fit!

Her actual appearance ended up being a far cry from what was planned for Gisele. Originally, the supermodel was supposed to take part in a skit that featured a young vendor trying to get a selfie with her before being chased by security and having Gisele save him from them at the end. However, the crowd watching the dress rehearsal took it VERY differently. They believed that Gisele had been assaulted, and then the police were forced to chase down her assailant. Not surprisingly, they decided to nix the original plan for fear of it being misunderstood on an international scale.
