One word. Incredible. The Americans have done it again. Michael Phelps and Team USA set a new Olympic record when they beat the world for a gold in Rio in the 4×100 medley relay on Aug. 13th. Michael Phelps’ last race was a success. Keep reading for the record time and all the details.
It was another hectic night of competition, with team USA led by champion Michael Phelps setting a new Olympic record beating the world with a time of 3:27:95 in the 4×100 medley relay against some fierce swimming rivals that were desperate to disrupt our chances of gold once again. After shocking Australia and France in the 4×100, it was obvious those two countries were hell bent on beating the US.

The US Olympic swimming team has done exactly what it promised in the pool, already scooping some major prizes along the way. Michael, himself, has scooped three golds in the men’s 4×200 and 4×100 freestyle relay and the men’s 200m butterfly. He returned to the Olympics with a real vengeance, and has been determined to go out with a storm. Prior to this race Michael announced that it would be his last and he has gone out on top, bravo!
Michael has won an incredible 23 golds over his career, and if he does hang up his Speedos, you can definitely say he has gone out on a high. Something tell us though, with his competitive spirit in mind, he may just have one more Olympics in him. We’ll just have to wait and see! Either way, that was a epic race for Michael and the US team, and it seems that once again we are dominant in the pool once again. Take that, rivals!
