It’s Day 9 at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and the games couldn’t be more exciting to watch. You don’t want to miss a second of the men’s and women’s track & field and women’s individual gymnastics!
It doesn’t get any better than Day 9 on Aug. 14 for the Olympics! The women’s gymnastics teams will step back into the arena to compete in the individual events including vault and bars. Gold medalist in the women’s all-around competition, Simone Biles, 19, is a favorite to win the events and claim two more Olympic medals, which will bring her to a total of 5! Wow! Unfortunately, Gabby Douglas, 20, and the rest of the Team USA did not qualify for the individual events. But that’s okay! The girls totally kicked butt in the team event and nabbed the gold! Go team!
The women’s and men’s track & field is on to another day of events, leading off with the women’s track & field marathon and triple jump. The men’s teams will compete in the 400m and 100m dashes. And you know that means — fan favorite and Jamaica’s lead sprinter, Usain Bolt, 29, will race to the finish line in the hopes of keeping his title as the “fast man alive” SO exciting!

Other events to look out for include beach volleyball, as the U.S. takes on China, who is trailing close behind in team medals. Men’s basketball will also take on France in another round of games. France will definitely give Kevin Durant, 27, and the team a run for their money, but we’re sure they can tough it out and advance to the next bracket!
Tennis will also continue on Bravo. But as we learned earlier in the the Games, both Venus, 36, and Serena Williams, 34, were shut out of the doubles and and singles competition in one of the most shocking upsets of the year! The sister duo lost for the first time ever in the first round of the doubles against the Czech Republic. And Venus was soon shut out in the first round of singles. Serena attempted to hang on for as long as she could, but followed her sister and was shout out of the singles matches, losing to Elina Svitolina of Ukraine. Ouch, that’s got to hurt. But luckily for Serena she already has a pretty impressive career.
Get pumped for another spectacular day for the Olympics. You don’t want to miss it! Here’s all of the event you need to see, courtesy of HollywoodLife.com’s sister site, Deadline. All NBC times are ET/PT. All other networks are ET.
