The greatest women’s soccer team on the planet is playing Aug. 6 at 4pm EST, as the U.S. National team continues their quest for another gold medal playing France in their initial grouping match at the Rio Olympic games, playing their way though a bracket that also includes Colombia and New Zealand. The top two victorious teams will then move on to elimination matches for the rest of the games, so cheer on our World Cup champion team’s quest by WATCHING THE LIVE STREAM FOR U.S. V. FRANCE.
The U.S. will be fielding a brand new team compared to the one that beat Japan in the 2015 World Cup, without vets like Abby Wambach, Lauren Holiday, Shannon Boxx, and Christie Rampone. But Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and U.S. National team captain Carli Lloyd are still around to give leadership to the team.

A new team of young players is looking to carry on the team’s legacy and get another gold medal to match the gold that the U.S. Women’s team won in the London 2012 Olympics. This will be the first games for 18-year-old winger Mallory Pugh as well as midfielder Lindsey Horan. They’ve been proven assets to the team and should be key in helping the team dominate against other countries.
Coach Jill Ellis said before the games started that of her 18 player team, “These players want to make history,” so be a part of it by cheering them on via Live Stream!
