On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain are swimming in wealth, thanks to their owners the Qatar Investment Authority that has ensured some of the world’s best players play their soccer in the French capital. However, it’s a new dawn there too, with iconic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving for pastures new, a huge contract at Manchester United.
But they still have Edinson Cavani, the emphasis will be on the Uruguayan striker to provide goals, and perhaps without Zlatan being there it will mean Edinson can become the main man, like he was at Napoli. He’s also being linked with a move away from Paris to the Premier League, so it’ll be interesting to see how many minutes he plays in this one. If a transfer is on the cards, it’s likely he won’t play the full 90-minutes.
When it comes to these games, the results don’t really matter and it’s all about getting match-fitness before these soccer institutions start their domestic seasons. But they’ll still want to put on a show for their American fans when it comes to this one!
