And the saga continues! ‘The Rock’ has put out yet another emotional Instagram message, August 10, about ‘Fast and Furious 8’ and this time he’s defending his Facebook rant against his co-stars! Claiming that ‘conflict’ can turn things around, he gives us the latest update on where the opinionated cast stands! As if that wasn’t enough, he gives us an INSANE glimpse inside the movie’s “epic prison break” scene!
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 44, stands up for what he believes in, and he certainly does NOT regret his “candy a**” comments! He took to Instagram to post this lengthy video message about the “conflict” surrounding the Fast and Furious 8 cast. After his original Facebook rant that called out his male co-stars for their lack of being “true professionals” caused a domino effect of sticky situations, he stood by his words and even gave the world a detailed update on how the cast is doing! The actor claims “conflict can be a good thing when it’s followed by great resolution,” and it seems as though they’ve all made up! He revealed, “And like any family, we get better from it [conflict]. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world.” AW! Putting all drama aside, “The Rock” just gave us an awesome behind-the-scenes look at the movie’s highly anticipated prison scene! In the video he’s clearly dressed for an epic prison break scene with his fellow co-stars who match him perfectly, aside from his insane muscles of course. He opens the video with a motivational quote, because what else would he do? (And we love it!)
“There’s no greatness ever achieved alone. It’s always a team effort,” he said “We promised an epic prison breakout for you guys and we delivered. Huge thank you to my ohana (family) stunt coordinator JJ Perry and his bad ass fearless stunt team, as well as my cousin and incredible stunt double @samoanstuntman. Thank you team for the willingness to ‘die hard’ and drop your blood & sweat daily for our movie.”
Then he goes into further explaining the “conflict” with his “family,” which we’re obviously assuming are his co-stars. “You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of team effort. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step onto my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team, that’s a family, there’s gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs.”

Dwayne’s Instagram message comes after he and Vin Diesel, 49, apparently had a “meeting” on set following rumored drama, and were having some jealousy issues. Tyrese Gibson, 37, even took to social media to voice that he was not involved in the drama.
PHEW! We’re just glad that Dwayne seems to be taking the higher ground here, while still defending his true beliefs. Hopefully the cast is getting along fine and any spats they may have had are cleared up! We can’t wait to see the movie!
